Las Canas is a fly infested municipal dump where approximately 100 people live in abandoned cars, makeshift shack, tents or under the stars.
At least 100 people pass through Las Canas daily to buy and consume drugs, with overdoses as frequent as 20 a day.
Jodie Bieber's images capture the sadness and loss of these ordinary people. Some of the images can make your stomach squirm while others depict a beautiful sadness coming from deep within.
The arid landscape and the simplistic nature of the subjects makes for a raw and emotional end result and when seen in a gallery some of the images will truly leave you speechless.
