Looking through one of my fave blogs - Fashion Gone Rogue - I came across this shoot for Zink magazine by photographer Asia Bugajska.
The below shoot is jaw-droppingly brilliant (yes I actually had to consciously close my own jaw...not a good look in the office)!
Everything about it meshes together to create a perfectly creative set of images, the styling - well what more needs to be said, those clouds of smoke, her make up and the composition!
I only come across these kinds of shoot once in a while and when I do "ahhhh" (sigh of love).
Warning: the below images are POWERFUL!

colour me wonderful
I sense a kind of trend on Erosion at the moment, swimmers, pools, sun and colour; so why should today be any different...do you think I am craving summer?
This shoot blew me away. I love everything about it, so thought I would share a little of it below!
The setting is serene, partner this with fluro wigs and a sensational tan, and pop you have a recipe for success! There is a really sporty avent-guard feel to this shoot, it kinds of reminds me of the shoot VOGUE did with Gemma Ward a few years back (the one set in NY with her hair in a great fro...remember the one?)!

Time to play
It is creeping up on us all and I think now is as good a time as any to begin the outfit planning.
Splendour in the Grass 2010 will be cold but funner than a Ferris wheel! Watch as we dance ourselves clean and ride on a white horse.
I am cataloguing inspiration both in my brain and also on paper, and at this point, I am loving the denim shorts, slouch/moto boots, head pieces (bigger is better) and oversized ponchos and coats!
I think I will also begin to reference bright tribal colours and embellishments, along with tassels and bigger than big round sunnies!

Evoke and devour
Hey Baby let's go to the pool
This shoot is fantastic, there is such a vibe about it, glamorous days lazing by the pool, dripping in diamonds more so than water.
The composition and colour in the shoot is probably the stand out feature for me, oh and who can look past those red shoes on the ladder, brilliant!

off with their heads
I came across this shoot in some editorial recently, apologies I can not remember where, but I just love it. It reminds me of times of old, the French Revolution and all the adultery that went on behind closed doors during this period.
It is also interesting how trends/looks/inspiration swings back and forth, a bit like a pendulum. I did a styling job based on Marie Antoinette back in 2006, the dress was created out of paper, and the look reinterpreted...

Purple pop!
So...my friend is looking for a car to get her to the 'church'on time, and she came across a bright purple limo.
At first I thought NO WAY, how gaudy...but now looking a the purple in Hasan Hejazi's look book for 2010/2011 I think it could really work...
actually I am just joking, I do not want her to have a purple limo, but in the case below WOW that purple pops!

Why Don't you?
Love the mesh between fashion and music in Beyonce's new clip.
I am so going to be rocking those pale purple lips this winter, and the shoes, oh my god, the shoes. Also take note of the cats eye sunnies, the floral prints, chunky jewels and the constant pop of pale aqua...
